Wilson Reading System Introductory / Applied Methods WorkshopIBIDA is a proud co-sponsor of Wilson Reading System (WRS) Introductory/ Applied Methods Workshops. The WRS Introductory Workshops consist of five hours per day during three consecutive days and is designed to introduce individuals to the principles of multisensory structured language education with WRS. A Wilson Trainer introduces general concepts and provides detailed instruction in the lesson plan format for 1:1, small group (3-6 students), or reading class (7-12 students) instruction. Upon completion, participants are generally able to begin using the program, but are not considered trained in WRS. The workshops are the official prerequisite to further professional development with Wilson Language Training. Participants completing this level of professional development are not authorized to represent themselves as Wilson trained or charge fees for WRS tutoring. There are no further training dates in Illinois for 2008, please check back in Spring 2009 for Summer 2009 training dates. For more information go to the Wilson Reading System website at www.wilsonlanguage.com and click on Professional Development. The Workshops usually fill quickly so register promptly. |
